Our family has a strong tradition of owning and operating successful restaurants since back in 1948. When Ernie & Vi Sabart first opened Bemishes Bar & Grill. Then there was S&L Cafe on 4th and Central,and in 1995, Ernie and Vi’s daughter, Jan Staricha, bought Papa’s Cafe. In keeping with family tradition, Jan’s son Doug took over Papas in 1999 and still runs it today.
In 1948, we were happy to sell around 10,000 eggs. Who would have thought by 2022, those numbers would have increased to over 500,000 per year? Order one of our specialty omelette's and become a part of our continuing family history!
